Companion App for Animal Crossing: New Horizons | Fan-Made

An AC fan made a companion app for Animal Crossing: New Horizons as a news source, guide, and for you to track your in-game progress! #AnimalCrossing #NewHorizons

With the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons just around the corner, the resources we as players can use to help our island paradise grow are plentiful. Today we discuss a free app that (as far as we know) is only available on the Apple App Store. There is one available on the Google Play Store, but it is not by the same developer. The app brings with it so many ways to keep track of what you’re doing in-game that you’ll never lose track again.

The app features notification integration, where you can set up custom reminders like “Go to Molly’s house” or “Time to pick some pears!”, and you’ll receive a notification like you would with any other app on your phone.

The app is still being developed as time goes on, but most handy features are very usable and should prove to be extremely helpful come March 20th!

On the App Store, we see quick previews on the app, and further along in the post we’ll discuss each page in greater detail. The app is compatible with devices running iOS 10.0 or later, and also compatible on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Companion for AC New Horizons phone app

Tapping on the first button named “news” we receive short snippets of news about Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

We’re unsure whether the developer updates this list manually, but it is arguably a definite necessity for us Animal Crossing fans!

The next button will give you a countdown timer, specific to your timezone, until the release of ACNH!

By tapping the “Calendar” button, you’ll be whisked away to an easy-to-read calendar which you can sync with your phone to receive notifications of any calendar updates.

Tapping on the “Recipes” button brings you to a screen where you can search for items, such as the flimsy axe, and see exactly which materials you will need in order to construct such a fragile tool.

Tapping on the “Wildlife” button brings you to a database with all known wildlife creatures in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

As you select a creature, you’ll be brought to a page with details such as the location, where you can find this creature, the price, and what time of year this creature is most likely to be seen! Pretty handy!

This is the section where I mentioned above that “you’ll never lose track again”. You can set custom notifications by clicking the “Notifications” button and entering in any important details that you will need at the time this reminder goes off!

All Villagers

By tapping the “All Villagers” button, you will be brought to an Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers database where you can search for villagers that are currently known to be in ACNH.

From the first page, you can tap on any villager to view details about them and even favorite that villager, and any other you may come across!

**favoriting villagers is important for the next section!

My Villagers

After you’ve found your favorite villagers from the “All Villagers” section, you can tap on the “My Villagers” button to be brought to your own little island or homestead where you can see your favorite villagers roaming around!

You can see I’ve favorited Molly, and she started by the tree and ending up wanting a swim, so she wandered over to the pond and began hopping up and down.

It’s a fun addition to this helpful ACNH companion app.

With the app still in development at the release of this article, it’s easy to see just how much of an Animal Crossing fan the developer is. The developer of this app, as noted on the App Store, is Paul Serb. He has created an amazing companion for AC fans to use while on their journey to create the best island paradise any of the villagers have ever seen! Maybe that’s a little over the top, but you get what I mean and understand my excitement!

You can download the app for free via the button below. The app is free to use, but does include ads as a way for the developer to sustain the development of the companion app. You can remove ads with a $1.99 payment, which is completely optional and up to you.

Not by the same developer (Paul Serb), but we believe he is working on an Android version.
